I would never have guessed that an artichoke flower would look like this! I’d love to see a field of these all in bloom.

The more I use the Tamron 18-250mm on my Samsung GX-10 the more I like it…

This is just another picture of the Notre-Dame-des-Anges church in Collioure (South France) but it’s got those three boats in the foreground. If you’ve been to this area I think you’ll know what I mean. Every artist in the area seems to have painted views of Collioure and most of those have three brightly coloured [...]

Collioure is one of my favourite places when we visit the south of France. It’s incredibly scenic and I could spend hours there taking photographs. There must be countless photos taken of the Notre-Dame-des-Anges church which is a converted lighthouse. This one is a little bit different as in the foreground is a boat carved [...]

I’ve not posted for a few weeks because of a combination of too much work and a very pleasant 2 week holiday in France. The holiday in France has convinced me that I need a walkabout lens with a bigger zoom range. Unfortunately neither of the 2 kit lenses, the 18-55mm and 50-200mm, are suitable.
I [...]
